Chez Who?
I’m Christos Lamprakos, and texts are my vice. I grew up in a small village next to the Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus and hold a PhD in Computer Engineering from NTU Athens and KU Leuven.
Christaras is a Latin version of the Greek word Χρηστάρας, which in turn is an exaggerated version of the Greek name Χρήστος (Christos–c’est moi). The root of the name is the Ancient Greek word χρηστός, of which the most common meaning is “useful”, but has also been used by authorities such as Aristophanes and Plato to denote the “fool”, or the “idiot”–Greek speakers may find this page interesting.
